Amazing job with the 800mm hand held...seriously - great capture! The Longtail duck is seen on occasion in my area during migration, but no long-term residence here. I had an option to pick up an FD 400mm f2.8 L locally today, but after looking it over and giving it the \"LED flashlight test\", I passed; the spider-web signs of fungus etched within inner elements. Plus, with a weight of about 12 lbs, not too much fun to trek around with. I think you named yours (EF version) the \"Herniator\" for good reason... .
