Canon 200 1.8 IF-ED EF L on 5D2
Thanks Phil, you took the words right out of my mouth. Not that I dont have any thoughts to share about this incredible lens. And as far EB-1 he is free to buy his own Canon 5D2 and 200 1.8 IF-ED EF L and make his thread:_.
One thig I noticed is when waiting for the lens to arrive. I went searching for images taken with the 200 1.8 IF-ED EF L and I was surprised at how little images there where. Don\'t get me wrong there plenty of shots of some indoor sports but very little in the way of .. creative photography.
And to me a there is nothing like long fast lens like the Canon 200 1.8 IF-ED EF L to get the creative juices flowing.
Before I go on a couple of images taken today.
One of missed focused images. I got several today. I was one AF and put it right over the dogs eye and recomposed.

So I went in to my local camera store to pick up a pair of $40 Lowe pro gloves. I also wanted to test the 1.4 and 2 x canon converters and the extension tube . With the 1.4 on the 200 1.4 IF-ED EF L the images where
excellent. I didnt have much time to use the converter but here is one image.
The 2X was less impressive but still usable. I did not the AF really struggled with moving objects.

So there is a Canon 400 2.8 IF-ED EF L version twon sitting in the show case. It\'s been there a loooong time. Last time I was there I enquired about making an offer but the manager wasnt there. This time he was there, so after I took it out for a little test dive. I made and offer and they accepted. Now I got thin out the Nikkor glass a wee little bit in order to get the cash.
