Reading Lloyd Chambers on the Canon 24, he does note that in his experience the Nikkor 24/1.4 is likely a sharper, more corrected lens; can\'t wait to see that comparison. I have mixed feeling about the Nikkor; results at ƒ1.4 aren\'t as striking as I\'d bargained for and mis-focus at ƒ2 still results in many lost images, as I recently experienced on an assignment I shot just last week.

My experience with the Nikkor has been more mixed than I\'d hoped for; mis-focus does occur wide-open far more often than with slower Nikkors, though not consistently so and results from my limited shooting at ƒ1.4 haven\'t been as satisfyingly uniformly sharp as some here report. This of course may be the supposed AF issue rearing its ugly head, one that Nikon denies even exists.
