That's what I like in the CB, you have one small side knob to adjust the minimum friction and you let it there, the other big one you play with to stop or let it loose.
Another feature of the CB I love, is the safety lock lever when you change body/lens or move the tripod.

Does anyone with this RRS gimbal have a problem with the rotating base arm not locking fully? Because of the design, a brass slug in a hole, unless the fit is perfect then there is small rocking motion even when it is tight, unless you really get excessive with the pressure. Anyone else having this problem?
Very well written review Richard, I think I will hang onto my Wimberlies but I do like the look of RRS clamp and baseplate which looks as if it may fit a Wimberley 2
