Hey thanks all! Mike is like a brother too me. I love the guy... He's been working on a bunch of 3D rendering stuff lately. It's absolutely amazing. Most probably don't know but Mike is like a legend in the 3D world from years ago and he's just started getting back into it. He's already creating amazing stuff.

No problem... Shot on a Manfrotto shooting table which is a white plexi seamless table. The light all came from under the plexi. 2 Canon 580 set to 1/8th power, 1 almost under it and another pointing at the front curve. 1 other flash with a snoot set to 1/16th power and focused on the smiley. The outside balls were held by a couple assistants (aka family members) and released. The smiley is just a little ball I had that I glued in place. Took a while to get the coordination between the drops and everyone but it was fun to create. I usually don't have anyone in the studio with me and they thought I was insane.

Lovely pic. Makes me smile at the idea and appreciate the execution.
BTW, the Manfrotto table looks very useful but is very expensive. Are there similar products which cost less?
Happy shooting,
Yakim.
Yeah, that's the big boy... it's huge. Do a search for shooting tables on the net and there are smaller versions. I have to admit they're ever pricey but they are invaluable for what I do.
