^beautiful image and I'd love to have that Zeiss 16-70 for walk around. I keep looking at the buy/sell thread hoping a decent one will show up that is in my price range.

^Taperwood, which do you like better the Touit or the Batis ??
I thought about this off and on all day and came to the conclusion the Touit's are more suited to my a6500. They are a perfect fit for the camera and the build quality is the same as the Batis. Image-wise, all my Touit's and the Batis are different but render similarly. You can switch in mid-shoot and not have any issues that I can see. The Touit's, however, seem more "clinical" to me. They can be scary sharp at times. The Batis 18 flares much more than all three Touit's but it autofocuses much better, being a newer design. I enjoy working with both. I can't say one is outright better than the other, but a Touit on the a6500 is slightly preferable to me.
If I had a full frame Sony, which I will someday, my Batis 18 will be on that body exclusively as it is an amazing lens that I fell in love with immediately. The Touit's I have to work at to get the most out of them, but over time they have shown their excellence in every situation I have placed them in given all my fumbling around with digital photography.
This is all said from a still photo perspective. I do not do video.
Many thanks for the likes. Glad you liked the comp MedicineMan - I took a few as Larry was walking up the trail - this was the one I liked the best.
Looks like I have to retire this Nex 6 (bought it when it first came out) b/c there's some non-removable spots developing on the sensor - tried wet cleaning it but no luck - probably behind the glass cover. I have a back up that I bought when they were heavily discounted a while back - so can continue using this model.
Thanks again everyone - it's amazing the images that can be made with these cameras - thanks to all for sharing
Most of the time, visibility in Bremerton for two weeks was 4-10 miles. Never seen anything like it. Here is a shot of one time the Olympics could be seen, which are about 15 miles from us.
taperwood - I'll say we're glad the smoke has cleared - talking with a friend in Alberta - it's still pretty bad over there. I believe there was wind from the west that helped moved the smoke. Now we see clear blue sky!
chiron & jwhatts - I agree about the 16-70 - unfortunately mine is in need of major repair (dropped it) - I find the 18-55 isn't too bad as a kit lens
