The view from 120 meters high atop the Dyrholaey headland, down onto a black sand beach covered by surf on the left and snow on the right. Dyholaey is a massive natural rock formation near Vik, on the southwest coast of Iceland. No handrails most of the way around!
Two Sony NEX5N cameras are with me for about 5 years. They replaced a few original NEXes 3 and 5 - my first mirrorless.I will keep them untill they (or me) die .They are small and lightweight and their IQ is still very good, even by todays standards.
Kit zooms are far from being excellent optically ,but then again - their size and weight let me have them at hand, while driving to work and back home. When I see something on the way it's enough to stop for a while and take pictures,or to stop and shoot through the open window. All posted NEX photographs were created this way.
I found it the ideal travel and hike/backpack camera (until the NEX-6 came along) with great IQ
Here are some - all with either the kit lens or the Tamron 18-200
On the Chile-Argentina border

A couple I did not know in the park asked me to take some photos; it was their 1st anniversary of being together. I had my CY Zeiss 35-70 with me at the time.
Just got the a77II in from Lensrentals to hold me over until I buy the a99II. A quick test shot but I like it a lot. Would definitely consider having this as a backup or a a77III next year.
