I've been out kayaking on a salt marsh at dawn a few times recently. I switched from the A7r to an older Nex 5N/R and Rokinon lenses in case of mishaps (35/1.4 with Speedbooster and 16/2). The first few times I had beautiful sunrises. Today was mainly overcast with just a sliver of pink. However I got this fella on the way back. He looks ....

A few images from a trip to Italy. I processed the images in regular Lightroom but did the upload from LR mobile from my iPad. This is the first time I am doing it that way and I couldn't control the size the LR mobile generates in this case.
Edit after posting - wow, it seems like the size is too big for this purpose. Oh, well. At least, I know that know.
Season of Touit - Picture 7 Week 36, Wednesday - Where's home?
"As I've already told you about my first impression regarding the Touit 2.8/12, it is now time to address the Touit 2.8/50M. New lens for the camera is of course an exciting event by itself. As I already had the excellent Sony E-mount 50/1.8 (SEL50F18), which works with same focal length as the Touit 2.8/50M, I knew it had to be a little more than that to make a good first impression. Having another lens with same focal length might mean it doesn't have the same wow effect as 2.8/12 because it might not feel much different. However, I'm fortunate to tell that Touit 2.8/50M feels different indeed. It definitely delivers different colors & contrast [...]"
I loved the Touit 12/2.8 and liked very much the Zeiss 24/1.8,when I tried them, but question of investing in relatively costly, dadicated APS-C lenses instead of high quality, universal FF glass is still not answered in this case.

True Peire, I would not spend alot of money on an APS-C lens. I got the 24mm for about €320 which isn't too bad. I will pick up the Touits too if I find the right deals, even if my primary camera is the A7R.
Season of Touit - Picture 8 Week 36, Saturday - The Landscape mode
"Ultra wide-angle lenses are often considered to be special lenses for special purposes, especially a lens as wide as the Touit 2.8/12. Having used the lens for couple of weeks now, I've really grown to like the focal length it offers (but not mastered though) and I think the special label is somewhat misleading. There are at least two simple ways of using it in any photography. Firstly, one can use the wide angle to cover as much as possible of the entire view seen by the eye. In my mind this is the 'landscape mode' and the Touit 2.8/12, of course, works great here. [...]"
