Week 10, Wednesday - Laterna magica
"I don’t know about you, but every time I edit my photographs in computer software (todays laterna magica really), I’m facing a question of how much I should bend reality in favor of something else (usually visual aesthetics). I feel if I bend it enough I will eventually break the photograph because it becomes something that doesn’t exist. [...]"

How do you stitch? Autopano Pro does a great job with both movements and exposure
To be honest I've only done one successfully ever using Photoshop Merge > collage, if the shots are lined up perfectly with equal exposure it works, but PS fails miserably (or I do?!) with anything else. Must try Autopano - does the well regarded free Miscrosoft Ice do stitches as well as panos?
I don't know about Ice but APP does very well. You can send me some jpgs to try if you like, although their demo is fully featured, just puts a watermark over your image.
Great images! I have been away from this forum for a while and I have really enjoyed catching up. The following images were taken along the Salt River in Arizona during sunset.
Nex 6 and a Contax Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 4/80-200 lens at the 200mm position.
I was able to get out yesterday for a little bit of shooting. This is a series of Bur Oak Trees that I may try and work with some more. Sony Nex 6 with Lens Turbo and Nikon 50 1.8 lens. I did notice I was getting some severe blurring on one side of my images from yesterday. I was hoping the Lens Turbo would not cause that, but I think it might be a bit off...

I love the layering of the landscape in 1,2 and 4.
Week 10, Saturday - End of blackness
"So here we are, this is the last day of my first season, the 'Season of blackness'. When I started this photo blog ten weeks ago I really didn't know what would come out of it. Except the website, I didn't have any detailed plan or answers in my pocket. All I knew I needed to throw myself into some direction – and 'Season of blackness' was chosen because I knew I loved lo-key photography, but often felt that I had far too few chances to concentrate to it and learn to do it properly. I was excited and terrified at the same time because I honestly didn't know I could pull it off. It was a risk I needed to take to make something interesting happen in my photography. [...]"
Next week at Wednesday I will introduce my next season. With a new season I will try to change my approach to photography, explore strange new things and hopefully produce new and interesting content for those who have followed me this far.
