My wife was going hiking with our granddaughter last September and I suggested she take a real camera instead of her "point and shoot." I gave her my NEX 5n with a CV15, set the aperture to f:8, focus near infinity and ISO auto and just told her to point and shoot. These are some of the results.
Because of you b-stards I am now an owner of a minolta rokkor pancake, my first minolta lens since I owned a Maxxum 7000 in the 80's. It's impossible for me to deny, I really love the 45mm f2..
I need a small fast wide that works doesn't cost a fortune and has some character. So now ill be going back through this thread. Which is just enormous.

Define Wide(15, 20, 24, 28), small(RF or SLR) and fast(f1.2 - f2).
OM 24/2.8 ? G28?

Beautiful nature shots from Philip's Rokkor 300mm (can you hand-hold a 300?!), Briantho's HDR snow scene, hOOligan's pup, Sebboh's flowers!
handholding 300mm on a NEX-6 or 7 is pretty easy assuming you have good long lens technique, not sure about on a 5N/R.

I never got shots like yours with the M-Rokkor 40, hmm, odd. will have to think about getting the Cron.
apertures on those were f/4, f/2, f/2.8, f/4, and f/2.8 respectively. from f/2.8 on it is amazingly sharp within the sphere of focus. field curvature on it goes the opposite direction of most zeiss lenses, making for nicer bokeh and subject isolation.
Thanks to all of you posting the wonderful shots in this thread I ended up buying a Nex7 last week. These were from my first outing at the Peaks of Otter off of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. I love Black & White, I think it makes the dull winter colors a bit more interesting. All of these with the NEx7 and Kit 18-55 and processed with Nik SIlver Efex 2. So far I'm loving it, waiting for my free 16mm and Pair of Sigmas that I've ordered.
