Believe it or not this was taken in the woods with no special lighting in the middle of the day.I am not sure why i am able to get this affect with the Leica Summaron. Basically i dial down the blacks all the way and crank the contrast.Adjust exposure and highlights/whites and i get this somewhat of a studio affect.
I have heard of the Leica glow and i am starting to wonder if that is what is making this type of shot possible.I really like the Summaron(esp with the Diox adapter that allows me to focus closer).
Tried my new tripod this evening and had a lot of fun
Night shooting was something new for me and will be great to use at this time of the year in Stockholm, Sweden.
Nice pix partitura! In Boston that's called "a dusting". Can I ask you a rather ignorant question about your C-Sonnar? I take it you're having absolutely no focus shift issues with it? I would think not because you're seeing through the lens on a NEX but I just want to make sure. I'm planning on buying one next week.
Thanks, Peter. The ZM 50 Sonnar might focus shift, but I would not know it, because I always focus when stopped down. On this lens, I'm pretty comfortable working that way.
The opposite is true of, for example, my Rokinon 14mm. On that lens I have no idea where I am, unless I focus wide open first, then stop down. It slows everything down... I'm glad I don't have to do that on the Zeiss.
A few images from the new 35 1.8. I have really been impressed with this lens. Very sharp, love the OSS and the size and balance on the Nex 6 is perfect. Nothing spectacular here, just wanted to share some images for folks that are interested in this piece of glass.

Finally, I've been waiting to see some images with this lens. Thanks for sharing!!
