Derek- f-ing awesome. Quite possibly one of my favorite portraits I’ve ever seen on these boards. I know it sounds like hyperbole, but my jaw literally dropped when I saw it. Spot on, man.
Michel- great use of the 19. I like the color, but have you tried a mono conversion?
Jim- nice trees. Lovely colors.
Philip- really like the first B&W and the purple flowers are beautiful.
Jovial- gorgeous B&Ws. Keep ‘em coming.
Alan_m- holy crap. I am impressed with your macro skills.
Plasticmotif- ditto. Love that spider.
My humble entries.
The pano was done with Auto-Pano Pro, by the way. I did a lot of 30 day trials, and it was the best bang for the buck by far in my opinion.

@freaklikeme, that is some impressive OOF rendering with the Summarit, very sumptuous, painterly effect.
Agreed. I could fill paragraphs singing the praises of the lens, but suffice it to say that if all my gear were stolen today, the NEX 7, pre-ASPH Summilux 35, and it would be my top three priorities for replacement.
And now a concept pano from the number 4 priority, the Elmarit 24. This was more a proof of concept for a future shot to be taken after the first heavy snow, but I'm mostly happy with the results. I'll probably reframe to completely hide the hotel behind the trees.

thanks everyone for all the comments on the portrait of my daughter. i processed that shot with a preset i originally made for giving my jupiter-3 shots a kinda retro film curve. lately i've been trying it out on shots with other lenses:
On another note, I just purchased the Rokkor 58/1.2 and G 45/2 to start with (from FM members) and I'm waiting for the NEX 6 to arrive. Once that does, this will be my first new digital camera in 9 years and first new lens in almost as many years.
I've just finished reading the first 100 out of the 464 pages of this thread and I'm continuing to read through it. I love seeing all the lens combos and the discovery of new lenses by members over time. Also, I've mostly been a wide-angle infinity shooter but I'm really looking forward to changing that. They aren't the pictures that I like, and this thread helped me realize that. I'm really looking forward to these new tools and hope I'm able to look at/for things a little differently than I have been. Thanks for the inspiration to look more closely and carefully, I hope to be able to contribute to this thread in a couple of weeks once I receive my NEX.

What's the 40 cron? A Rokkor, Lietz, or Leica?

Cron is shortcut for Summicron. Usually from Leica.

in this case it's kinda all three. the lens i shot with says leitz on it, but leica is in fact a shortening of leitz camera. the 40mm summicron design also was later licensed by leica to minolta to make under the rokkor label for the CLE
NEX-5 (yes, the original one!) with FDn 35/2 + Minolta close-up no.2.
great work with that lens! It has been sitting on my shelf for close to a year now, i tried to take some nature pictures with it but never liked them so it gathered dust, i think i will have to give it another chance!
