I like the color version a tad bit more because I can really see the colors in the sky better.

Tough call on the crab options; maybe a sepia tone with that purple sand/cloud tone would be a perfect compromise? Beautiful shot either way. Gorgeous Helios OOF rendering above, great Lisbon window capture, airport tones/textures, and that's just this page! Hard to keep up.

Olympus 50/1.8, before it almost fell apart - just loose screws, back plate almost fell off, phew!

Reduced contrast in pp (maybe the first time ever!):

Since you ask, the bw is the one that contains drama and makes up an image. The color one stops at being a (unusually) nice snap from a beach.

..my 2 cents

Dunno why, but when I look at this old car I hear a crackly old radio playing, "Going to the chapel and we're gonnnnna get ma-a-a-rried!". (I did check the trunk for a body, too...)

Re: color crab or not color crab: I'm split. The B&W is more dramatic, and also enhances the richness of the sand. The crab is much more interesting in color - the detail and shape jump out better.

Love the last one Alan! I do prefer the OM 50/1.8 by far above the 1.4. Could be I have a bad copy.

Some more from Lisbon. The first two are from the Oriente station designed by Santiago Calatrava .

Here are a couple I shot today with the new Micro Nikkor 55/2.8 AI-S, both at f/4 with my NEX-7. I noticed the somewhat cooler tones than most of my Minolta Rokkor lenses:

This one I slightly missed the focus, but I still like it:

50/1.8 OSS - funny 'cuz I've been waiting for Fall colors to shoot the old church, and then I liked it best in B&W. I am a numpty.
