I'm sure you have answered it before, but what is your take
40 cron vs 45 contax G?
the 45 g is definitely a better landscape lens outresolving the NEX-7 sensor all the way to the corners at f/2.8 and smaller. i love using it to take sunset and dusk landscapes because i can shoot at such wide aperture. it also has more 3D pop.
the 40 cron is much more portable and i prefer it's rendering for nearly any shot where not everything is in focus. it has nicer color (both color balance and ability to resolve fine color gradients). i love it for portraits, it has a peculiar dof fall off – the in focus area is bigger than normal but then the oof elements are more blurred than expected. i get the feeling that the cron may actually be sharper than the 45 g centrally stopped down, but given that both are outresolving the sensor, it's tough to test. unfortunately, field curvature keeps both corners and center from being critically sharp at the same time at infinity, making the cron suboptimal for landscape. works great if the edges are at a closer distance than the center though.
i'm using the cron a lot more these days than the 45 g, which has given me time to turn the 45 g into a frankenzeiss.
oh yeah, they both have pretty funky bokeh at f/2, but the contax definitely has higher contrast and is a bit sharper.

That Sigmarit is actually pretty accurate, it really does look like Leica. Very nice photo..
It takes a little elbow grease in post to get it where a lot of more expensive lenses will get you out of the box, but for <$200, it's a great value, and (cough cough) for sale in the B&S forum...
If I hadn't already bought the sigmarit from bob Israel, I would buy yours!! although I haven't used it too much yet, I plan to on the Big Island next week!!!
Here are a few at my older son, Mason's, soccer game today. Nex7 and Nikon 35 1.4ais..I think all taken at 2.8
