Great pictures! Did you use software to remove the purple fringe or did you shave the legs? (I remember reading 2 reports that shaving the legs decreased the purple edges, possible due to pressure around the sensor.) The recent prices on ebay are ridiculous. I bought mine for $740 but as I reported here it was soft so the seller agreed to take it back and he/she turned around and sold it for $910 (not mentioning the potential IQ problems). I wonder if it will continue to be resold...

Those colors are excellent and vivid Andrew!
Thank you guys, I know Firefox and Safari work great with ProPhoto, it's just Chrome
and IE which s@ck. Not sure why a company like Google refuses to make Chrome
usable for photography... Not too much hope left Microsoft can do anything right
BTW it's really nice to see how great images are showing here so fast
I feel like I need to get a new lens, do you guys know that feeling?
It's between Sony CZ 135, CV 35 f1.2 and CV 15 for me.
All so different, all in my B&H wishlist. I think I'll try the 135 out.
It would be a nice test - ZK 100MP, CV 125 and Sony CZ 135...
Loving the NEX + FD and FL equipment, absolutely a joy to shoot with. I especially like my 55mm f/1.2 FL - the handling is just perfect, I haven't ever enjoyed shooting with any equipment so much. The great part is it is getting me a ton of work at the University! The radio station is hiring me to shoot concerts, I am getting work with our newspaper and I am the Honors program photographer - I'm just loving getting all of this experience and making enough money to get more lenses!
(I'm not trying to paint myself as a great photographer here, I'm really not, but I got my 55mm f/1.2 today and news on a bunch of gigs, so I'm stoked!)
Canon FL 55mm f/1.2
Canon FL 55mm F/1.2
Canon FD 100mm f/2.8
EDIT: for reference, there is very little vignetting on the 55mm, this was added in post. The colors are very - well, pastel is what I guess I'd call them. The 100mm is very similar. They shape up extremely well in post processing, I really like the way they render. Also, it looks like the jpeg compression is hurting detail on here; someday I'll have a decent hosting site. Sorry for all the word vomit.
@Mike, nice light and shadows on #2
@Ebrandon, sorry to hear that.. hope there's no long term injury for you
@Uhoh, well the 1.4 looks crisp in your shot, I've been inform that its a soft lens by others. What aperture does it sharpens up?
@Andrew, I thought you have a 100 MP and 125 SL already, why purchase a 135? I think its more money well spent on the 35 1.2 II.
Anrew, can't see how that ZA 135, which I expect you will love to death, will stop you lusting for a CV 35 f:1.2...
Michelle, sebboh, great stuff!
Mike, your second bridge shot wowed me!
Michael49, Davidex, Philber, Frezeiss : thanks for comments on the bridge. I've seen "the light" coming throiugh that bridge many times. Glad I got it right.
Michele, love the B&W of the silos
Davidex, great photos, especially 3 and 5
Rioni, great pano...beautiful colours
That doesn't make sense at all. They will of course need the same ISO at the same f-stop, and it looks like you've shot the FD at f/2 for all three frames. You do realize that you have to set the aperture with the ring on the lens, right?

He also needs to position the aperture ring on the FD-NEX adapter in the closed position, otherwise the lens will stay wide open even if the aperture is set on the lens.

Yes, you're right. I just noticed that the "lock" on my adapter was set to "open" so even when I move the aperture ring it stays wide open. Good eye! I was planning to redo the test anyway. This time I'll make sure the aperture for the FD changes

Yes, I noticed that just before I read your post. Thanks, that was my error (besides being lazy with setting the shooting mode at A and letting the iso go to crazy high values.

You're right, but my thinking was - as I like that focal length, it could give me another
option. I also own Contax 35 f1.4 - has anyone compared it to CV 35 f1.2 II?
@bokchoy No, I did not use any software to fix the purple fringe, and I have not shaved the rear wings of the lens. I bought several years ago Contax G2 kit, and I was delighted to find, last week, a camera that would allow me to use these fantastic lenses with digital.
