In the menus somewhere there is a setting to allow the shutter to fire without a lens attached. I don't have the camera in front of me right now, so I can't remember the specific location.
Isn't then half the fun of trying to ID it on the internet though ?
People can just say what it is, but if you do a little digging you'll uncover a wealth of info regarding the collapsible lens of Leica as well as the much lower cost (though still very cool looking) Voigtlanders

I hate it when people post cool lenses and do not identify them or shoot them in a way that at least you can see exactly what they are---

I can't get over how good the Nex 5 is. Having previously owned an ep-1 I was expecting to have troubles focusing manually with these types of cameras. The camera is also way more responsive than the Olympus was.
I find the Nex 5 easier to focus the Summilux with than on the M9!

Great lens if a bit heavy--nice and small though.
My stock summilux shot, wide open with nex at 1/30
this was quite a bit dimmer than the image shows--and in no way a remarkable shot-sorry.
at any distance this is one of the sharpest 90s ever made--it is especially spectacular at infinity, and of course the OOF rendering is fantastic in macro shots
this and my 55 f/2.8 micro are far and away the sharpest lenses I have at infinity, though the Kiron 105 and the late canon RFs 85/1.8 and 100/2 might compete. My nikon 28/2 ai is not even close.
some think the 105 nikon comes close, but few feel it quite reaches the level of the tokina, however it's alot cheaper.

I have not had a chance to really put it to work, put here you get the idea.
this is indoors, shooting down a hallway, f/2.5 1/4 on a tripod.
.... please forgive the snip, as I don't want to make this page more difficult to load than necessary ...

Thank you for sharing
The Vivitar version I recently acquired just arrived today and while I await the NEX arrival I am a bit excited. You and your enthusiasm for experimenting with lenses is inspiring to say the least. Kudos to you, sir.
