I'm not the biggest Leica fan in terms of rendering, but I agree on the 50 Cron. They're gems.
Okay, it's taken me a bit to get around to this, especially since it's a lot easier to get what I want from the 50 Cron on film vs. the NEX, but here's a few with some "character:"

Charlie, great ZM 18 shot. Is that a new lens for you?

TY guys,
Philber's Paris shot put me on to the zm18 back in early dec or even before--a week after I bought one on ebay. I'm still not fully mobile, so alot of my shooting for quite a while now has been without lots of light--therefore the zm has made just a few appearances--but it does seem to draw attention
it's kinda big and heavy for a slow 18, but nothing i have draws and colors like this stopped down---well I should say I have not be able to get anything to do it
I like the 55-210 shot a lot too, although I think it has more to do with the subject, light, and composition... but hey it looks very good on my screen anyway!

That ZM 18 always looks very clean.

Mostly wide open or close to it - a little to easy to miss focus at 75mm equivalent!
Those last two of the Santa Monica Pier are outstanding!
Wild surf this afternoon at McClure's Beach, Point Reyes, CA. NEX-7 with ZM50 [planar] at f/8. Shot directly into blinding mist and fog, so heavily worked over in LR3...
Shelt - awesome shot. I'm glad you took advantage of our summer weather today. I should have played hooky. BTW, is your ZM 50 the Planar or the Sonnar?
Charlie -yes, if one photo could sell you on a lens it would be Philber's Paris shot. All your ZM 18 shots look really crisp.

Thanks! My ZM 50 is the Planar. It is scary sharp and contrasty corner-to-corner on the NEX-7. I also have the Contax Zeiss 35 g and 90 g -- I like all three very much! BTW, it must have been close to 70F at Point Reyes today. Just amazing!

Very nicely done there, great detail and action.
I'll be backpacking at Pt. Reyes a bit this weekend, I'd be extremely happy if I came back with anything even close to your photo!
Jacob, if you are backpacking this weekend, I'd allocate a couple extra hours to drive to Tomales Point for the short hike down to McClure's. The winter surf is awesome, and McClure's has some of the best rocks in the area. I was trying to catch the sunset, but was hit by blinding misty sun, then total fog. Different times of day can work there as well.

I'm going to try and make it over to McClure's on my way out. Unfortunately this trip is sort of business for me as I need to photograph a handful of shelters for a blog article, so that will be the primary mission. But if the weather cooperates I may head back next weekend.
@Sholt (now we have shelt and sholt... what are the chances, ).. I Like the layers in the 2nd shot. I think it might benefit from a little processing.
Thanks for the feedback Jacob.
I've been to Point Reyes once before for a great day hike. Beautiful coastline. I hope to see a couple more coastal landscapes posted soon!

It's always fun to shoot into the sun with a lens/camera that can handle it! Any interesting feedback on the NEX7?
