To whomever said something about the adapter situation getting out of hand... I'm too far gone already. I will have to think about which 28. I still have the CY28 in my heart. But I guess I do have the TSE24II for the 5D2. Hmmmm.

Yes mco, as been suggested: if you're into the G's the 28 is the obvious choice - tops that bunch and is what I mostly have on the camera. It enables you to keep the adapter on the cam and switch lenses only.
The 28-45-90 is a neat package. Two small leather pouched lenses in the pockets/small bag - and one on the camera. Size/Price/IQ/Beauty quotas for that set is unbeatable however you combine the factors :-)
What's missing is a WA coping with the others. ZM18 is a good choice but costs more than that excellent trio combined. And it's slow....Show more →
This has me thinking too, I was going to get the cv15.....
Not a good choice?
Man I love the fd rendering. I'm sure some find it 'weird' but I happen to absolutely love it!
Frezeiss, to answer your question, you could go CV 15, ZM 35/2, ZM 50/2 and Contax G90 for a cheaper version of that lineup. Granted, that's assuming you have a 5N. Not sure how all of these perform on a Nex-7.
On the subject of the Zeiss 35mm's, I think the G may be a better choice than the ZM 35 on the NEX-7. The G is a planar design (the widest I believe), and the ZM f/2 is a biogon. The ZM 35 + NEX-7 samples I've seen show fairly smeared purple corners up through ~f/4-5.6, while a couple of sample shots I've seen from the G 35 + NEX-7 seemed sharp at f/4, and seemingly free of purple...
I just bought a G 35, so I'll be testing it out next week. Keeping my fingers crossed...
Did some stitches too. Here are two, 6-9 images each. Stitches turned out ok but I dont think it's the right kind of subjects, not sure. (5N + G45@2 again)
Some from the desert w/ kit lens. How I wished for a cloud. I had my other lenses with me, but used the kit because it was too bright to manually focus. I hope the EVF is more widely available soon.
EDIT: The Planar is a great lens, but some people may feel that it has a little too much bite for portraits, especially if they're not of children. I was just playing around with the first image in Capture One Six and it seems like a little negative on the clarity slider (say - 30) takes out the edge, but still leaves plenty of detail and great contrast and color.

Planars are still symmetrical designs. I have the ZM 35/2 and Contax G 35, and both the Nex-5 and Nex-5N. As far as I can tell, the ZM 35/2 is sharper in the corners than the Contax G at all apertures (the ZM 35/2.8 is also sharper) on both cameras. Both have some color shift, and, while you're likely rarely going to notice it from either lens, the Contax's color shift is less. I probably wouldn't expect sharp corners with the Contax on the Nex-7 until f5.6 or so.
