Thanks Yakim. Do you mean the doubling cube? I wanted to add as many elements of the game that represent the various "numbers" without going over the top...
Actually this works on many levels for this theme. Everything is odd numbers, 3 dice, 5 round playing pieces, 9 points show on the backgammon board.(where the playing pieces sit.) The doubler adds the third die so it works well.
This is one that makes the viewer think to find all the elements. Not obvious at first. Well thought out Greg. Well done.

Thanks Y...! Wish I could say I was thinking about it at that depth, but I was more focused on the 13 actual numbers showing....but I like that you found other elements!

I understand but backgammon has only two, so it looks out of place. Again, it's JMHO.
I like it. It fits the theme. It has interesting colors. It has interesting geometry with the cubes, and the triangles, and the diagonal lines cutting the image. The only thing I can think of is it might be nice to arrange it so that either both the main dice are in the same plane and within the depth of focus, or bring the doubling cube with it's numbers into focus, and let the other dice slip out of focus). Regardless, I think it's neat and if I'd taken it I'd probably be willing to give it a try in print.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my photo RD...and while there are certain aspects that you point out that I would tend to agree with if this image was shot for the purpose of being purely abstract, such as the doubling cube being in perfect focus, or the dice being aligned in some fashion or another....in this case, my goal was to create an image that makes people think about how life is a game of numbers...
Whether or not I succeeded remains to be seen, but I appreciate your feedback!
