$1,000,000+, because you directed Slumdog Millionaire and 28 Days Later. high five.
ahahah...yep, I get that quite a bit. Didn't ever know of the director until someone who saw slum-dog pointed it out to me, even though I had seen 28 days later ( which is a great movie...but I am partial )
Help me understand. Sometimes I think I'm the only one not in on the joke. People must know who this person really is or they wouldn't blindly ask for their advice or accept at face value some of the self aggrandizing statements this person has made.
I don't understand the need for mystery. There are some talented and successful photographers who post here. We know their names. They freely share what they have learned with others. Why the anonymity?
I have noticed a distinct patronizing tone in Reason's posts. This thread is a prime example. There has been a general admonishment of those to ignorant to follow this person's advice, as if what was being offered was of great value and if only others would listen it would lead to wealth and success. There's even been examples quoted, but with no means of verification. Sorry but the claim of going from a net of $50k to $170k in one year even strains credulity.
I have been fortunate to have been given very helpful advice and critique from people who I have admired. I knew who they were and I knew the authority by which they gave that advice and criticism. I have also been offered "advice" by some whose credentials were not known to me. I put that advice in perspective.

Not at all. The 1st step for anything to happen is that you have to believe in it. Only you know that b/c of the amount of time studying the craft, the amount of work and time you put into what you do & most important how much you value it. It shouldn't matter what some random person hiding behind a fake identity thinks. Plus, he/she is not judging your work.. just your website.
I know a lot of great photographer's whose web presentation doesn't do their craft/art justice.
Curiosity's sake... I'm sure some people secretly (not saying you) put their website up hoping to get an a pat on the back and say "OHH!!! Someone thinks I should be charging more!!!" b/c they don't value their work or have enough confidence to charge what they need to, or what they are worth.
I put my heart & soul into what I do. I love what I do and know what I wont work for Look at my work & tell me you honestly think I care or I'm scared to see what someone would say I'm worth?? Specially a keyboard warrior.
Yes, it's nice to have someone actually look at your work & give some sort of feedback or encouragement. But beware & careful who it is. Just look at how many people take BS workshops to simply get a pat on the back, have someone say "you can do it", and in a sense pretty much buy a "friend" who doesn't care about them & happily takes your money.
At the end of the day... your CODB, the type of work you do, and most importantly how much you value your work/time determines what "your worth". But in order for that to happen, you have to believe in yourself.
