Leave it to a topic like this to pull me out from under a rock. Hi all!
As I was doing a small write-up on this piece for my site, I decided to change the title of this piece from "Trust" to "Hope". A bit less negative I think. Sorry for any confusion.
It blows me away that you create such incredible images with a D80 and 50mm lens. You prove that it’s not all about the camera and billions of pixels. Excellent shot.

Carolyn!!! Hi there
Thank you. It's good to be shooting again. It's been a long time. If we get topics that inspire my, I promise to give it my best, and now that I know your watching..well.. Hey, shouldn't you be out shooting instead of reading this? Miss you.

Who but Vipermike would have a human heart just sitting around waiting for a challenge like this one ?
Your work is disturbingly entertaining as always.
I'm gonna need to re-think my decision to submit my cute and fluffy puppy dog pictures.

Hehe, Hi eager! Great to see you. No puppy dogs, kids or kittens on my watch! Thanks’ for the post! I got lucky having this heart to shoot. I'll be doing a small write up on my site this weekend. It may just reveal why I happened to have it.

Thank you Greg, I say, push it to the limit! but who doesn't love a good "L" with ultimate dynamic range, right? Yummy!

Great to see you back Mike, well kind of as it means there is someone else with a vastly superior camera technique to try and beat again
Cool image, if a little gory lol. Nice job. I do wonder where you get your props from....
Andy
Thanks Andy! It's great to see you. I am looking forward to the challenge. It feels good to be shooting again.
I tried to keep the gore to a minimum but human hearts have a way of doing that. I have a small write-up on this shot over on my website. It explains it all.
Mike. After a long time myself ( over a year with maybe one entry ) I decided to go to the sight and bam! Right away! All has been said of how you are missed and that the competition is more of a lesson to learn. I don't think I can enter due to an extreme schedule but you got me inspired to attempt to at least be looked at. I am so rusty it's not even funny. Extreme photo here and you should be getting big money by now!
