First post here and new to the MFT, I recently replaced my 5d MkIII and 70-200 2.8 with a used EM-1 II and the amazing 40-150 pro. Racing week end in Monza, what more could you ask for, to try the new combo!
Great shots!
Playing around today with the OM 60/2.8 Macro on the E-M1 Mark III
I came across some 2016 holiday images taken on my Panasonic GM1 travel kit: 12-32mm, 35-100mm & 15/1.7. Such a small package that weighs next to nothing.
At the time I did not bother to process them in any way.
^ Close up of bee with pollen on its face is impressive. I have only started even thinking about trying recently, E-M1 II being my first ever fast "action" camera.
Second photo is beautiful, showing the stem with the flower on the right side of the photo, opening to the left side, that empty space not wasted.
The "bokeh" of Olympus 60mm F2.8 quite busy, isn't it? I have 12-100mm F4 and 8-25mm F4, and I know I need macro lens, maybe my last lens, but I've been been waiting to see what the 100mm macro will offer.
My previous camera very slow and little telephoto power, so wildlife and "action" a new thing for me, but here a few I have taken so far since I bought first ILC ever in E-M1 II on Boxing Day 2019, plus some flowers too.

Thanks!

The bokeh is certainly a little busy at medium distances. I suspect the larger DOF of m4/3 at equivalent distance & aperture is partly to blame. What makes the 60/2.8 nice is that it is very tiny and light, it made chasing bees around very easy. And it's pretty cheap!

Nice! The detail on the bee shot is great. I like the combination of motion & detail in the last image as well.
Here's a few more with the E-M1 Mark III & 60/2.8 Macro. It was my last day with that combo, as I have recently picked up the new OM-1 so the Mark III is up for sale.

I think the (what looks like) pumped up clarity slider on those shots is not helping the bokeh.
Hmmm... I don't think the clarity slider was anywhere near the realm of 'pumped up', but just for kicks I zeroed it for a few of the shots. I'm not seeing a tremendous difference in the bokeh. Thanks for your thoughts though
Not usually much into BIF but I just purchased the 40-150 with 1.4 less than 12 hours before and then a hark/falcon lands in the neighbors tree. It must be a sign. Looking forward to playing with this looking for baby goats up on Mt Evans.
Standing there cooking during our campout last week and a small herd of about 6 deer come bounding by about 15' from me. Thankfully, one held back and watched her buddies run through which gave me just enough time to grab the OM-1, which thankfully was already in animal subject detect.
