DXO PL offers a ton of benefits for crop sensors and MFT, especially those with high iso.
I usually set the Deep Prime NR to something Like 10 or 20.
The new control line is a great addition in DXO PL5. There’s a fantastic set of videos by PhotoJoseph for DXO PL on YouTube. Additionally the DXO Labs channel also has excellent videos.
The control points and control line are great for tackling specific colours or tonalities.
The colour editor of DXO PL is another feature that can help tweak the hues.
An Easter egg of sorts is the Colour Rendering section, where you can try out some of the other tonalities like Neutral, for low light shots.
In case you need to fix the perspective, DXO ViewPoint is great.
I don’t quite like the highlight recovery tool in DXO PL.
One thing to watch out for is that PL applies some default corrections and adjustments like the Smart Lighting. I usually play around with those default adjustments to check whether they are helping or hurting based on the image.
First outing with the E-M1 Mark III & 12-100/4 Pro. Considering a switch to m4/3 as my full frame mirrorless kit has seen it's use plummet, and rangefinder and film cameras taking it's place. Still need something with some range for travel and aviation however!
I really like the photos of the jogger and the freighter, helimat. Beautiful openings in the sky.
I only realized recently that ports and coasts such as those pictured always catch my attention somehow. Perhaps because Toronto never was able to fulfill its dream becoming a port city.
It reminds me of a few photos with similar theme I got while visiting Sarnia for a couple of weeks this past summer. It wasn't part of any intention or big plan, just spontaneous and what I was feeling at the time, but somehow it all fit together, part of my Sarnia Bayside series documenting the demolition of Bayside Mall, also with E-M1 series (Mark II) and 12-100mm F4. Perhaps not quite as beautiful sky though, but oh well:
Michipicoten in Chemical Valley
Boaters Fishing by the Point Lands and the Algoterra from Halifax
Andrew S. Brandt Marina Harbours More Than Just Boats, Apparently
Out of Sarnia Bay Towards Chemical Valley
Algoma Conveyor Passing By Sarnia Bay
I bought E-M1 II and 12-100mm F4 only two years ago, my first interchangeable body and lens ever, so still a lot I have to learn with them also.
(Whoa, this forum doesn't allow preview of posts? Sorry if I screw this up.)

Thanks! And nice shots from the Lake Huron, no screw ups that I can see. The Michipicoten looks a bit like the SS Edmund Fitzgerald! I haven't heard a song about it yet though. Oh and nice beaver
We'll be out in June for our first family trip to Ontario and Quebec. (I go there fairly regularly for work, but my wife and kids have never been other than passing through YYZ) Looking forward to it.
I recently re-joined m43 with the purchase of the GX9.
During the months of November and December, I did a major overhaul of my equipment—I went from 3 full-frame systems down to one. But I've always enjoyed shooting with m43, so I bought back in.
Meet Izzy, a mix of Beagle and Jack Russel. She came to us last August as a rescue out of San Antonio, Texas.
