Congratulations on all this work, Burningheart, it is much appreciated! Iy shows that the NEX and the G1 are just as sensitive/receptive to the quality of the glass as their larger DSLR brothers.
I should be getting my alt glass on my NEX any day now, so that I can play with you guys...

Burningheart, I can detect a noticeable improvement once you used your Zeiss ZF lenses! contrast and sharpness is better. If I did not have 18mm and 25mm already I would cry in my pillow

I fully agree that's why I have all the ZFs.

Philber you should get yourself an adapter so you can use your ZEs on the NEX. Granted you'll have to preset the aperture before going out but its worth it. I'm glad I stayed with the ZFs instead of switching to ZE that way I can use them on all my cameras. I find the NEX to be a little more sensitive and has more dynamic range than the G1.

just lovely. Is that a converted Lightbomb or unmodified? I would love to get a hold of an unmodified one for use on the G1 and NEX.

The Rokkor is EOS converted. It looks very huge on the Nex

Here are some shots with a OM 85mm F/2 taken at F/2 with a NEX-5. Shot in RAW with no post processing done.

have you got a shot from above to show how much it sticks out? i've been looking for one of these since i like the sonnar look, haven't found one outside of russia yet though. don't really want to pay $40 for shipping to the states on a $100 lens and still have to wait a month for delivery.

looks good, i've always wondered about this lens. does it seem overly large on the NEX?

colors look good imo - not totally accurate, they still have some of the yellow cast given by the lighting, but just enough to make it look real.

having to use jpeg for handheld twilight is kind of annoying in that you have to pay a lot more attention to white balance.

Just lovely Philber the detail just jumps out at me. I feel like I am standing in front an outdoor vendor preparing for the day ahead. Its an early spring morning just after a little rain shower the sidewalks have puddles of water the sunrise is just peering through the breaking up greyish clouds to bring on a lovely sunny day in a distant coastal city. I can smell the sweet aroma of the freshly fallen moisture on the plants trees and grass. Soon the hoardes of people will be hitting the street and coming to the market and this street vendor will be very busy.

Just amazing how looking at your shot with water droplets brought alive in my own mind an entirely different reality.

Philippe, great shot! Love the colours The beauty of the NEX 5, is that it changes the style of shots you take.

Thanks, sebboh, burningheart, Edgars, Charles! And I agree, Charles, th epictures I would take with the NEX are not the same as I would with my DSLR, even with the same focal length. Now all I need to do is find how to get as pleasing shots for landscape/cityscape as I do for semi-close-ups, and I will be a happy camper.

that jupiter-3 looks like quite a nice size for a portrait lens. how do like compared to the leica 50/1.5?

a few shots of some of my lenses on the NEX:

might be of interest to a few people (certainly was to me), somebody tried out the new voigtlander 25mm f/.95 on a NEX:
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5046/5247889760_bf8092bb9b_b.jpg
not my picture, it's stolen from woodent on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/41626753@N06/

he posted a few samples in a thread on dpr:
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?forum=1042&thread=37146395

sadly it looks like there is heavy vignetting in the corners.
looks quite sharp at f/.95 in the center though with an interesting bokeh. could be a good lens for environmental portraits.
