Well, as long as we're all doing FD 300mm F/2.8L shots... I think surfing is what this lens was made for. Seriously, the inventor must have been a surfer and wanted the ultimate lens to fit the ultimate sport! These are all wide open and I thought the lens was so good and so colorful that I shot small low quality JPegs on my GH1 - something I usually never do cuz it sucks.
All shot at F/2.8, ISO 100, and are 80~90% crops, Some sharpening but no other processing. Fluorite ROCKS!!!
And here's a little comp... The real reason guys surf:
I posted these on another site and someone actually suggested that I should have shot them from the other side where the Sun could light up their faces better. Hehehehe...

Astonishing, Sebboh!
# 1, 5 & 8 are my faves.
REALLY impressive.
Is your FL 55 1.2 free of yellowing? Or did you achieve the colors via PP?
Good light!

The FL 55mm f1.2 does'nt have yellowing as its not radioactive. Its predecessor, the FL 58mm f1.2, is radiocative though and therefore it will have yellowing with age.
Here images made with the DIY converted FD 400mm f/2.8L
Bird - do not know what it is - with FD 400/2.8L + Kenko 2*telecoverter,EOS 5D, German "Wildpark Schwarze Berge" - not free nature.

That was certainly a worthwhile conversion. Beautiful shots.
