why does the photo have to be perfectly focused? I think your shots are fine as is.
accurate.
Well, that was exactly why I was asking. I for one am in favour of, how shall I describe it, say, functional unsharpness - think indeed of motion unsharpness or serving some other goal. Unfortunately not all unsharpness is functional.
Of course, in street photog sharpness is 2nd to "capturing the moment" however, and that's my 2c, this only works if you indeed capture the moment. Some times this is by having the correct focus (you might get lucky ;-)) sometimes by capturing the emotion. It's just that the images failed to communicate either message to me, but that might me more my problem than that of the image.
Here's the Oly 135mm f/2.8 (all wide open except the sun one at bottom - which was stopped down to f/22)
I think I have more 135mm lenses than I do normals. They must have been a "standard" or something tho I dunno why. In more if not all cases the 135s are very sharp and on a FF camera very very versatile. On my camera where they're like a 270mm they're a little less so but I still really like this length. It's about the longest length just before I want to have a tripod or occasionally wish I had an IBIS equipped camera.
Sure of course. Not more than I typically would for a $3,000 Zeiss tho. The lens is very very sharp and doesn't need much help. It's color rendering is also very pleasant so that too didn't need more adjustment than just what the shortcomings of my sensor requires.
The exception is the bottom clouds one which I sharpened considerably and ran the saturation up pretty high on.
I'll add some 100% crops to the post above for ya.
My OM to EOS adapter was in the mail yesterday.
Last week I got a good deal on a OM10 + 21mm 3.5 + 35mm 2.8. Can't wait to put my OM lenses on my 5D for some fall shooting this weekend!
The OM10 is waiting for a new light sealing and I only have BW film, so no fall colors.

Bob,
nice series. Were these with a FF body? also is your 24mm the MC or Non?
#1 is my favorite

Hi Jim,
Thank you! All were taken with a 5D Mark II. The lens is MC – as far as I know, the last version, marked "Japan" on the front ring. I think I like the 2nd one better in monochrome: http://www.pbase.com/rtallent/image/129907914/original.jpg

Bob,
