These lenses are plentiful, get another one, and make sure to get the MM version, as the optical formula was updated for better performance. My copy has one of the best helicoids I have used...

How can you tell the difference?
Smallest aperture number will be in green paint for MM versions. AE versions have white paint for it. Ironically, prices for MM and AE rarely separate by more than $50 for any Contax lens. Why not get the newer, supported one, if available?
Just wanted to get the word out on my sample which I just returned to Adorama.
I got another one and it's much better. The old one had a couple issues. The zoom ring was loose and made a click sound. The built-in hood was quite loose and moved too easily.
It's an AE version, serial number 5854290.
This is a young Cooper's Hawk that was probably just getting started. It was patient and I was able spend some time getting close with a C/Y Zeiss 135 2.8 lens on an inexpensive Canon XSI. I used a Nikon SB 28 flash synced with inexpensive eBay wireless sync.
This photo was taken with a Zeiss 50 1.4 C/Y on an inexpensive Canon XSI camera. It was taken in mid July 2010, two weeks after the Cooper's Hawk photo above.
It was taken at the top of Scorpion Mountain near Skykomish, Wa on a very hot and sunny day. The on camera flash provided a little support.
