I'd still prefer to have identical ergonomics on all heads, but obviously that's not even close to a deal-breaker.
I'm strongly considering a Cybercommander, 1 Zeus, and 2 Einsteins. + 3 self-made, small battery packs.
I intend to use my Speedlights for backgrounds, just not with remote power. I suppose I could add a PW system to remote-adjust the Speedlights, but that's a lot of $$$ for that one convenience, plus it's ergonomically difficult on the camera. Oh, to have a Paul C Buff Speedlight....
Sure, I personally would not want to bring a Zeus to one of my sets, but that's just me. The ergonomics and the way the handling of the unit is designed is just not a high point IMO for a fast paced photo set (especially the handle design). The extremely tall, thin 2400 w/s unit is just that, too tall and thin and knock overeable. I'm not saying it's far off, but on location, it just wouldn't work for me personally. In a studio, the Zeus would probably get by where movement of a heavy strobe/light mod isn't greater distance. Let's not forget that forum discussions are generally opinions, and the reason I didn't go into to much depth is because there was quite a lengthy thread when the Zeus was first introduced where people went over the pros and cons of the system and this thread isn't really about the Zeus.

That wasn't too helpful...could you elaborate?
Good for you My comments on Paul's comment about the Zeus not selling big was just that. When the unit first came out, I noticed some design flaws that my mind said were flaws because of my personal experience. I just hope that Paul doesn't discount future head and pack designs because he really seems to be on to something with the Einstein. The Zeus can work perfectly well for some people if that's where your opinion leads you.

Zeus has worked fine for me for professional use for a couple of years now.

I always thought you were supposed to strap the pack to a lightstand as ballast? I've never seen any packs designed for this (including the speedo anchors) though. I expected some sort of strapping system like the vagabond's bag's...
Tall/narrow would be easier to pack for travel than short/fat...I understand the stability issues though..
