Did you try any from slightly above the rim and/or with the cookie not perpendicular to the camera to try to get some 3 dimensional depth? It's the only thing my eye feels is missing here.
Actually, this was the only angle/scenario I composed. The image emerged in my mind, and I set it up immediately, before I lost it, haha. I agree that the perspective is flattened, though I sort of enjoy that aspect of this photo.

This observation pleases me to no end! I was worried that others wouldn't notice.
I got it right away. My eye kept trying to make the cookie a lime! I love your contrast in textures. Your angle is great....steeper or shallower and the contrasting shapes might be lost. Great simplicity.
