I think a lot of people on this thread just needs to relax a bit. Don't take things personally. Be bitter at Canon for but don't be bitter at each other. Cheer up, I'm sure Canon will release an update to correct the bug.
it includes the video made with a Canon 100 2.8 macro non-L, the one by wickerprints with the 300 f4L, and other video made by an user with a Sigma macro lens.
I tested my Canon 24-70 2.8L and it doesn't suffer the issue (glad about that!)

Yeah I can confirm too.
I didn't try all my lenses yet, so far I tried:
24 1.4 MkII - seems ok
70-200 f/4 IS - seems ok
300 2.8 IS + 1.4x TC - does it pretty much every time you cycle focusing from around 20m to infinity position
300 2.8 IS - does it at times, a bit randomly, not every time, seems to occur a bit more toward the near focus end
so far clean:
24 1.4 MkII
70-200 f/4 IS
so far bad:
300 2.8 IS
(too small of a sample to say much but that is two new designs clean, one old design bad)

Lens work that work fine in full manual mode - no iris jump:
Canon 35mm f2
Canon 50mm f1.4
Canon 24-70mm f4 IS L
Canon 70-300mm IS f4-5.6 works fine at all focal lengths
Problem in full manual mode both focus and camera body
Kenko teleplus pro 300 2x convertor with 70-300mm Canon
But if you tape over the three pins - no problems.
Less personal attacks and start testing your lens boys and girls.
Less personal attacks!!!!!! please stop commenting in that way as noone is attacking to anyone.
The problem does not occur on these lenses anyway. The real problem is with 100Macro L and nonL and the 300 f4. So if the solution is to remove the pin connection from lens to body then thank you for the obvious idea but I do not think that it would be aprooved by Canon such ideas and o the other hand for us that we are still in warranty (2 years) this is and obvious void of warranty.
Please be sensible and admit the bug to go further for a firmware solution and stop
trying finding a different solution. Maybe the solution is to go back to 1.1 firmware
Would be interesting to know more about it. Maybe some additional responses from Canon, or even better an official statement (although they could prefer not to mention it until a fixed update is released)

Hi again,
Lens 180 L 3.5
FW version 2.0.4
Iris jitter occurs in M, TV and AV mode with Liveview set to Stills+Movie - Movie Display and also Stills+Movie - Exposure Simulation. Lens was set to both AF and MF and it occurred in both scenarios. It happens both in Liveview and also whilst recording video.
So it pretty much occurs no matter what way I set the camera.
If you need me to be more specific just outline what you need exactly.
Hope it helps.

Thanks a lot for your tests. Much appreciated. Another user has confirmed it with the same lens too.
It seems almost (if not all) Macro lenses are affected by this "iris jitter" issue.
I was making further tests with macro and non-macro lenses, with the help of other user, I guess we found a light metering inconsistency in Live View mode... Not sure if it's only in FW 2.0.4 though.

nothing to do with iris jitter but i definitely did see a true frame stutter the other day, absolutely proven to be the camera, it's possible that everyonce in a white it gets overwhelmed or maybe the code does some book keeping and makes it hitch

Auto Lighting Optimizer. It plays sneaky tricks with your exposure -- I think maybe even in M mode, but I'm not sure about that. On the Mark IV it's enabled by default (which I find surprising).
