We just got back from the US where I saw Aprils issue of National Geographic (haven't gotten my own issue yet) and low and behold, there it was.. my first shot in National Geographic. It is a picture I took last summer of Cameron Falls in Waterton after a hard rain storm. I did post the picture here as well. My husband actually submitted the shot, so I owe him most of the credit. I don't believe I would have submitted it. Anyway, not sure what page it is on... under Your shot.
I don't think I ever thought in my wildest dreams I'd ever be published in NG, and the ironic thing is, I don't shoot alot of scenery, and this truly was being in the right place at the right time. I remember recently reading a quote from Ansel Adams .. "Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter". That couldn't be any more true than it was for this picture.
I was three times there while I worked in calgary but never with so much water. An impressive image, congratulations for it. My dad suscribed to the NGS in the late 50's, I took over in the early 80's. Every time I get the brown paper envelope in my mailbox, well, you know the drill (thrill)...
