I had this operation in 1991. I was in Florida to shoot a family wedding and was rushed in to Daytona Medical Centre where the surgeons found I had a ruptored
Aorta Valve. I was told the cost of the operation and how long I would need to stay for aftercare, and desided to fly home. Shot the wedding Friday, flew home Saturday and had the surgery on the Monday morning. I remember being told that I only had a 10% survival chance, but if they had shown me these photos first, I think I might have said no thanks. But all worked out fine and still shooting 19 years later.

Fantastic shots! Far better than anything on the valve manufacturers sites. I assume you were scrubbing in - any issues with bringing the camera into the sterile field?
