I have the Sigma 50mm f/1.4. That's another story because the Siggy has much smoother bokeh than the Canon and its worth the extra money to me.
I prefer my S50 bokeh to my 85/1.8 bokeh... so if the recent Sigma fast primes are anything to go by, then yes - return that 1.8, wait and see. The 85L is great, but the focus speed (and price!) leaves a lot to be desired.
Sigma changed the EX designation whern they released the 120-400 and 150-500 , only lenses, from that point, with a constant aperture would qualify for 'EX' status.
10-20 , 12-24 were all launched before then. 10-20 f3.5 EX I assume is kind of an exception because the old slower 10-20 was EX and the new faster one is 'better'.
I'm very intrested in the 8-16 it looks (MTF) like a nice upgrade on the 10-20, and uses 4 (!) of their Flourite like elements.
Definitely interested in the 85mm f1.4. If it controls CA as it claims, sharp and good bokeh, then I'm sold. I'm not a fan of the Canon f1.8 and the f1.2 is awesome but got too much glass upgrades coming up for me this year already. Lets hope it's sub $1000. :P
I know you aren't supposed to compare MTFs between manufacturers and different FLs, but here it is anyway. I'm just wondering what the MSRP is going to be on all of these.
This announcement got me extremely excited, but it is only specs right now. Things like the 95mm filter aren't so cool. I hope the get samples out soon. These are all eye-catching lenses (to me).

70-200 looks an improvement too.
no the 10-20 3.5 isn't the exception as its now a constant 3.5 so can earn its EX designation by their newer rule.
If the 70-200 can give the canon a run for its money it could sell very well, But I hope they dont see the price of the Canon v2 and think they can price it high.
Also hope they dont go silly with the price of the 50-500
