Thanks for the responses, Joe and Ragebot. The sidekick is defitely enough to support the 100-400mm IS, so I won't even be considering the full wimberly gimbal head. I like the idea of using a sidekick with the lens. Would the BH-3 work fine, or should I go a little further to get the BH-1?
