dalberti: Thanks for the feedback. But these are hdr'd already which is the complaint above. I don't share your anti-hdr view but think these could be improved and am working on it. Your picture must be a blend at least to not get the sky blown out? Thanks for the feedback. Scott

To be very honest, they are still not working for me. The compositions are all good but the HDR effects are just too obvious. It is as if there was a layer of grey over them, most obvious in the snow in 1 or in all of the horseshoe one.
I guess HDR remains a love or hate thing and for me it usually destroys a perfectly good picture. Have you ever tried a handblend in PS? I think you will get much better and richer colours without the grey-ish look and flatness. Just my personal opniion of course!

Thanks Ute: I am not seeing the greyish in Horseshoe you see but I will take another look at this tonight. I don't share your opinioin on that HDR is always bad - it is the same as manual blend but just with an auto transmission - I think you are right that it is a matter of preference. But I agree that 1 is lacking - although I am not sure that 1 is worth fixing t - the fog was just too strong. Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Number 5 stands out for me too. For me, HDR is good provided there is realism in the end result.

Excellent.
