Took two walks today down by the bay. I cannot even get close to most of these birds because I have to view them from a dock. Never the less I am always excited to see who is migrating in my bay this time of year. I was so happy to be able to see so many new and unusual birds today.
All of these birds are firsts for me today
The first set I call Blondie mallard. It is a very creamy yellow female. Does anyone know if she could be a leucistic
Okey, dokey.... that one up there is them farm ducks. They taste good.
Then there is them old tail ducks. I never ate those so no comment.
Lastly, you got youself a very nice pair of Vergasers. They tase fishy those ducks.
Now you take care.
PS......the little Buffalo hen is really well done......seriously.....I mean it.
Noelle,
#4, #5 & #6 are Long-tailed Ducks (aka Oldsquaw hence PetKal's "old tail" ID).
Very nice set. I like the RB Mergansers the best.
Take care,
John

Thanks John, I knew that #6 was a LT duck but had no idea the little brown one was the female. I feel so lucky to have them in my bay
