Ronny, these are all fantastic. Can you tell us more about the technique you used?
Thanks Wiseguy
I shoot 99% hand-held and these photos are taken hand-held
One exposure .. I see if I try focus stacking in the future
I don't like those who cool down the bug or have dead insects .. but stacking gives new dimension on macros
there are many who are really good at macro stacking and does not use these methods also
If you use focus stacking, I think it might be on insects in the wild and in nature (My opinion)
but it is awesome when you have extreme sharpness of the entire bug
Must fix some stuff in that case as the macro-rail etc., and then I must use tripod ... Think it's troublesome to use tripod for macro ... It's hard to come close to bugs in nature with it I think
Must find bugs that are not so active if I should try
Never use a flash either, nowadays I almost always used tubes on the 100MP ..just to get closer and get a little better magnification ratio

Ronny, you must have a very steady hand. Your images are incredibly sharp, especially for hand held. What shutter speeds do you usually use?
Thanks
Try to hold me over 1/200 but sometimes it is difficult
when u use tubes ( and 100mm ) that takes a bit of light
On most here is between 1/100 to 1/250 and ISO 640
but down to 1/100 starts become very critical
Think my next A7-R in the future will be with ibis
I am impressed that you are able to get such sharp photos hand held with shutter speeds in the range of 1/100 to 1/250, especially with the 100mm and tubes. It is extremely difficult for me - I just cannot seem to hold the camera still enough at those speeds and focal length.
