Thanks Gary and very nice bleeding hearts johnahill. I am enjoying the 100 MP very much. I have some more bleeding heart shots to process hopefully I will get them posted in the next couple of days.
Spent today playing with new toys! A D800e and a 135/2 APO. A great day! Below are some shots - really a test shoot. Very little post done here and nr obviously still needed but the lens is very good indeed. They will take a bit of getting used to but very happy with the combo. [X post nikon zf thread]
Cheers,
Phil
^^ Beautiful Ulff. Very iconic. One small thing -- you might want to clone out the dust bunny in the first one.
Here are some more bleeding hearts from the other day. I don't like them as well as what I posted above. I think they could all benefit from a bit more depth of field--all are shot wide open. I was being lazy so I shot hand held at odd angles and just shot them all wide open without bothering to get the best depth of field. They still show the nice colours and sharpness of the ZE 100 MP even at f/2.
I like the serenity in your images Ulff,
I agree Steve a little more depth of field would have been better, once in a while one needs to shut that apperture
some partly desaturated flowers with ZF 21/2.8 and 100/2
Has anyone experienced veiling flare with the 100MP? Sometimes I shot against strong light and got really low contrast image.
I haven't experienced such flare, but I always use the hood, which may help. I suspect, however, that I just have never shot into strong enough light. Pretty much any lens will show diminished contrast shot into bright light and I doubt the 100 MP is an exception.

I got flare even when using the hood, especially wide opened, but it doesn't always happen, maybe depending on the angle? I always got clear, high contrast image with the Zeiss 21mm even shooting directly to the sun.

That is right. Any lens yields noticeable flare if the contrast is high enough. The MP2/100 was fairly resistant to veiling glare in a direct comparison with older Zeiss offerings.
Shooting directly into light with back lit subjects when flair was a concern I've used rolled black paper with a rubber band to make an extended hood. Or just flagged the lens with my hand, hat or whatever was handy. Simple solutions to keep light off the front element. It will make a huge difference to contrast and image quality.
