Just a couple sunsets from my first outing with the 21 2.8 ZF.2 a few weeks ago.
interesting side note, the beaches aren't sand, they're salt, and its not a whole bunch of grains of salt, its all crystalized together into a rock hard salty pavement, that coats everything on the beach, even the rocks...

Since I'm still not sure whether I will keep this lens or not (long-term) I will wait with the modification and use the lens as it is for a couple more trips.

Hi Boris - Just wondering what your thoughts are with the 15mm Distagon. I have it also and love it. In fact, I find I'm pulling out this lens more than the 21mm.
At the moment I prefer the 21mm. I think corner sharpness and microcontrast (outside of the centre) are better with the 21mm.
But I still don't really fully understand the 15mm. I got images with very good sharpness from edge to edge while other images shot at the same f/11 have terrible sharpness at the edges. It has probably something to do with field curvature and focus distance.
In addition the 15mm is really big and heavy compared to the 21mm. Since I travel a lot and take my photo equipment on longer hikes I'm thinking whether I could just live with the 21mm (and a 50mm) and reduce my weight signficantly.

Yes, that's what I have noticed myself as well. It must be field curvature. Lloyd Chambers also had this remark. I noticed that the corners nearby are sharp most of the times, but those at infinity not always. Particularly when pointed the camera a little downwards. But it might be more complex than that.
Besides this I use the 15 more than the 21 at this moment, certainly with interior shots in churches and castles.
A couple more with the 100 Makro. It's a really tough lens when it comes to moving subjects especially wide open as evidenced by the flower shot. Stopped down it's manageable. Never thought I'd have a 100mm as a walkaround but this lens definitely changed that for me

Since a have the MP 100 it's also my favourite walkaround lens.
