Ant -- intriguing facial expressions in those photos. The guy in #2 is what I looked like when I got the bill for my 35 1.4. On a side note: I was deep in to some archived thread about a lens, and you made a comment of how you would like to use it for street photography...someone responded to you with "You need to learn something about street photography...you can't use that lens for street photography," and proceeded to lecture you on how street photography is properly done. That gave me a chuckle.
Freziess -- great tropical greens! Thanks for whisking me away for a momentary micro-vacation to the tropics.
your age luka, you are just lucky that there are no age limits here and that little boys that like to have fun are allowed.
user, the 35/1.4 ...its just sticks in my side. I thought I liked the 25 more but it was masked by the fun I already have with the 35/2 and I devalued the 35/1.4 because I already have the FL. I imagine using the 35/1.4 with film and I'm smitten by the idea. The D800, the 135apo and news of an oversized 28/1.4 all stopped me in my tracks but I think I'm back on plan now and dont see how I can resist it any longer.
My pedigree on one side is well documented and my mother carries a pic in her purse of a tomb in westminster abbey (like a lizard saying it was once a dinosaur, I tell her) but it turns out I'm a frog, a Normandie frog.
Hows that ...
It also turns out that my name is not my name ...but a really bad mis-translation.
So brother Z ...(grin, but in an arrogant French way)
Frezeiss - I know, my first attempt, I overdid adding vignette, now I went a bit too under
Very nice beach shot and waves.

Japanese saying is 'teaching Buddha a buddhist literature' for something like this.
taz_k; great images!
Samuli: your pictures of trees with cascading layers of DoF make Zeiss 1.4/85 really shine.
I am seriously considering adding Planar 1.4/85 to my set, especially after recently seeing your and Ronny Olsson's shots. Is the reported focus shift really an issues at f/1.4-f/2?
