No filters. A few of these were 5 shot HDR (Handheld) but otherwise using a preset in HDR Efex Pro 2. Sun was low in the afternoon sky so the old pier had an yellow-orange glow to it.
I love the 15 . . . I just need more time to use it to it's advantage.
I've seen a lot of wonderful photos posted here and been tempted many times. I had a brief go with a 50/1.4 on my Canon 1DSiii a few years ago and wasn't convinced (I know some will say I didn't give it a go for long enough!) - but the lens I always wanted to try was the 35/2. Finally got to do so the other day, having bought a D800E (long story) - this was on a walk with no tripod and is at ISO800, f/3.2 1/80s - who says you can't hand hold with this camera?!
Despite some horrendous fringing in the highlights, outwith the DOF, the overall look and feel is something I've not seen before with any DSLR/lens combination I've used to date. I expect a combination of sensor and lens is the reason. Having now produced a print, then I'm even more impressed with this combination...
Love that one, Picture This!
Great comp with the strong vertical tree trunks against the horisontal light trails. Beautiful light and colours with the light trails perfectly matching the colour of the dividing line. And a really beautiful road!
This Emirati man let me take his photo last night while picking up some bread from the Iranian bakery - just a quick grab.
Then he showed me a photo of his from his wallet - him in his Police Brigadier's uniform. Gold Braid, gold epaulettes, gold buttons, the works. Gaddafi stylee!
