Wonderful images of Stockholm, now I understand those lovely warm colors of buildings there. They have a pupose, to keep the spirits warm under sinister skies during the cold days of long winters.
thanks for sharing.
Wilhelm - I like it. Seeing through the cable tray from above gives interesting view point.
Frezeiss - Nice set. I like the #1 for the composition, #2 for the man's expression you captured.
Lieutenant - I like the toe shot.
Hulyss Bowman - Great compilation with very nice BW. I really like the image on the left.
rirakuma- I am with Dimitri. I think the droplets make the image stand out to me. Beautiful scenery.

What he said!
Luka, love the details of these images with the 35/1.4.
Here's some of mine also with the 35/1.4. It was an overcast day in Northern Wisconsin, so I thought I would head to the Wolf River Dells.
Wow, for a moment I thought you came to Harriman State Park Love the tree portrait. Gorgeous showcase of beautiful oof rendition of 1.4 /35 ( #1 ) The downed tree shot is also very nice.
Ronny - Beautiful set, I like the #1 with amazing detail.
Bob - great set, like the space and depth in #1
Luka - beautiful set of semi-abstract textures, beautiful greys, the closed eye in#2 makes it my favourite
Rirakuma - greatl light and colours in the whole set.
Hulyss - nice b&w compilation with hidden story.
LZ- another fine street portrait - the man with the camera a little disturbing though.
Frezeiss - Good street photos from Istanbul, #2 is my favourite.
wfrank - amazing detail and clarity in the interior shot! Well balanced light.
Ronny - good set with great detail, #1 is my favourite.
It's likely the result of using a strong amount of shadow and highlight recovery in Lightroom/ACR and/or reducing the luminosity of select colours. You'll likely get technically better results by reprocessing the file several times, each time for a specific area of the image, bringing those into PS and layering them in a single image, then selectively masking the layers, but the trees and branches against the dark sky will be tricky. You could also try to do it in one shot in LR/ACR with the brush tool and negative exposure compensation at the outset, rather than highlight recovery, to retain the highlight detail you want and use the brush tool to open the darker areas in the image. It should avoid the 'pasty' look because you're not pushing the darker and lighter tones from opposite ends into a relatively narrow mid tone range, resulting the a flat blobs of colour you now see in the droplets. It might sound like basically the same as using the highlight and shadow recovery sliders, but by using the brush to open the shadows you can play around with more variables such as brightness, contrast, saturation and clarity to avoid the compressed mid tones. Also I noticed it was shot with the D800. In this case, considering the great shadow recovery ability of the sensor, I would have exposed for the sky and let the rest go dark (perhaps that is what you did) to recover in post. Here it looks like some of the sky still clipped and isn't fully recoverable. Just my 2¢.
rirakuma, excellent! The droplets are nice but I like a little more portion of the water into the composition..
Z, excellent scene, quite unique!
Luka, nice compositions! The second one is excellent
twoeye, really like your Hi-key image..very enjoyable to see
Bob, really enjoy your second shot. I prefer a little more saturation but that's me
Street photography, more keen to do a lot more of this since this is one of some quite a few genre of photography I cant seem to get a good grip on..
Frezeiss : please keep your nice street shots coming!
Hulysss : like the "fallen"
Akul : # 2 is very nice
Bob: for a moment I tought it was Samuli's shots
twoeye : thanks for the comment , I agree with you about the guy disturbing. Your last pic is just fantastic!
