Hey Bob, I wanted to say thanks for posting the photos of Minnehaha Park. I've taken light rail from the airport to downtown numerous times and always got a bit of a chuckle from the name Minnehaha when the stop was announced, but never enough motivation to actually check it out, either in person or virtually. But next time I'm in Minneapolis, I will definitely try to arrive earlier than usual for extra time to wander around the park and take one of the trails either to one of the nearby lakes or up to Fort Snelling - something else that has intrigued me, but haven't yet visited. I did some Google Maps exploring and what amazed me was the apparently very extensive trails network in Minneapolis. And I discovered one is near the hotel I usually stay at... I think this will be a much more interesting alternative to yet another MOA visit.
Here are a couple from Munich with the GXR and the ZM 21mm f/2.8:

Edward, nothing what little wash and color wax wouldn't fix I had to check from EXIF have you found some secret mode from GXR "make dynamic range ultra small and emulate film tones", but seems you are back on scanning film

Yes, but I'm afraid to scratch the delicate paint
Haha, you caught me using film again. I was sneakily trying to pass unnoticed Honestly, I'm very pleased with the GXR results, but my Zeiss Ikon cameras are my true love and I have plenty of film in the fridge that I have to use up. More from the GXR coming soon

Let me know and I'll meet you if possible! This was only my first visit to the park and it's quite nice with the creek running through it. The trails running through the city are great. Minneapolis was named the best biking city in America and the trail system is certainly a main reason.

Very strange looking dof in that first photo rji2goleez. Did you edit it any?
What I mean is, the lower right corner seems to be more in focus than the middle part, is it closer or is it curvature?
Glad you noticed that. It was shot at f/2 and I think there was some curvature but I certainly didn't think that the case. In fact, my position was probably above even the focused area which makes it even more surprising. I think the effect is the result of the lower right having more texture than the middle.

Enjoy pictures from this thread very much. I am no longer look for particular lens rendering, sharpness of anything as before I start into the thread but enjoy the high quality work from PEOPLE in this thread.
Love the composition there zhangyue, very nice.
Fantastic detail in the first shot HelenaN, the smoke/steam looks unreal! Good job of the processing.
rji2goleez, great selection from a walk around. I should force myself to look at London in the same way, but don't feel inspired at all...
