Jim- My apology. I inadvertently did not comment on your pic. I think I was scrolling down too fast. Beautiful rendering with 50P. Great capture of quite an intriguing subject.

EDIT: would you mind sharing some insights on how you go about. Are you using a good matte or AF-confirm for a starter?
Nope, just fires away, like everything it's probably just a matter of practice- The best of the best of all times used mf and captured amazing stuff on film. We forget that.
Redisburning: thank you! The scans are the same but the film is different
Xtobolic: thank you! Very nice black and white tonality in the shots above.
Lars: the first 2 shots are superb. Did you use a tripod?
Akul: very nice! Agreed that 3rd shot is the best.
Bob: love the reflections and the dog shots
Johnahill: reds are spot on. Did you buy any car at the show?
LZ, Rodluvan, Lars: Some stunning 85P examples! All very nice!
alex, johnahill: thanks!
On my last post, I think I was far too adventurous with the shadow tones [left them as is; low light + vignetting wide open on 50MP pushed those RGB values too far low into the single digit range; Should fix it next time for more consistency.]
john: loved the red jaguar shot and loving the red Ferrari shot as well. I can imagine the effort in getting the distinctive Ferrari red hue spot on!
Bob: Very nice street shots. Rippled reflections effect on flat glass looks very cool.
Jim: loving your work with the 50P. Just out of curiosity: where did you intend the focus point to be in that horse shot?
Luka: very strong shots with ZF21. 1st and 3rd are my picks. Beautiful!
Edward: glorious colors in these. 1st shot in all 3 posts are my favs. And the last flower shot is also very nice!
Rodluvan - Nice composition with bike and the flower. Great showcase of 85.
Lars - Another wonderful showcase of 85. Infinite bowls are mesmerizing. I really like the first one for the composition.
Edward - Great sets with amazing vibrant colors. Love the road paint from the first set, also the luminous car accessory shot, and the bowl full of flower petals. Very strong shots. Wow.
Xtobolic - Beautiful B/W scene. First one especially has interesting narrative, like a beginning of a fairy tale of some sort. Contrast of water is quite effective.
Bob - First and the last are my favorite. It just hit me, that the bicycle is 'broken'. Quite a difference from your bike shops from Holland.
Jim - The first shot is quite stunning. Great color.
Tree portraits with 1.4/35 - Samuli's 3D pursuit got me thinking. I am not interested in reigniting the never ending debate, nevertheless, with that thinking I took these shots. Later on I tried to see if I could accurately remember locations of each element in the shot. Not so successful. Low contrast light does not help too much either.
Abhijeeth, Bob, Akul, thank you very much for your comments.
Jim, beautiful street photography. You are so close to these people but no one is looking at you. What's your secret? the second shot reminds me of the doctor shot by Robert Capa
Akul, beautiful shots but I can't say I see a lot of 3D there. However I see the potential for 3D but PP doesn't extract it. I think 3D is as dependent on PP as much as it is on the lens qualities.

I prefocused and shot as the dog came to that point. (The dog wasn´t too fast in the deep snow.) Hit or miss.
Ah, kind of figured that. I should have my rental 35mm f/1.4 ZF on thursday and I have a whole weekend planned for testing. Can't wait to give the Zeiss lenses a try.

I think i agree with your assessment here. Angle of shots are also not helping, probably also the distance to the subject. I really have not been that interested in pursuing the '3D' but what I sometimes struggle is that details of tree trunk when shot this way, which happens to be my interest at the moment, some shots are hard to decipher space from it.
