Donat - So good to see your work here ! Beautiful shot of moss (butterfly??) Love the icicle shot too.
Toothwalker - Beautiful set. #1, 2,3 are my favorites. Jelly fish shot is a wall hanger IMHO.
Bob - Great to see your bicycle shot again. Not as neat they are in US aren't they ? Really nice color scheme. I also like the #1 from the second set, and the BW shot very much.
Lieutenant - Nice capture of a small 'event'. It sort of feels like your 'spot' was invaded by the couple ( at least from the sequence ).
Gregg - Great sets ! I like them all. Especially the first set, I liked all of them. Great series. From second set, #2 really caught my eyes with splendid composition. From the third set, #2, #3 of course are wonderful. Beautiful capture of the moments. Regarding bokeh of 50, third set is also interesting that first shot shows more vibrant bokeh, where as the other two are much less so. Like I have been saying, I do not mind the vibrant bokeh, so that does not affect me, but it was interesting to see how this lens morph. Anyway, my theory is that if you like 1.4/35, you are prone to fall in love with 1.4/50 at some point, or vice versa
@te4o...very nice shots and compositions!! If I am not mistaken, they look like HDR's processed in HDR Efex from Nik? They look very similar to my HDR's that I've done in Hawaii( and I like HDR's very much!!)
@Akul...I'm liking the 50P, but like I said, I am a wide open junkie(well most of the time!), and that's where the 50P falls short. When it does hit, I love the vibrant bokeh, but I'm still undecided?? My pink flower bud with the gorgeous bokeh from the ZE 35 1.4 a few pages back is one of my all time fav's, but I don't expect the 50P to be able to replicate that. I tried the next day with my 50L, and got close to the ZE 35 1.4, but still wasn't quite there!! The 35 1.4 is just that great of a lens!!
Gregg
Yes, Greg, they are indeed - I must admit I have NIK since January 2012 and just started using them all. Sometimes I have to just sit back and reduce the effects - but overall a big improvement for me personally, I used only minor adjustments in Aperture before that.
I tried to match Luka's monochrome conversions there...
@te4o...I have most of their(Nik's) software, and I find them very useful indeed! In conjunction with LR4 beta and PS5, I'm pretty set on software!!! LR4 beta is really, really nice. A little slow right now since it is only in its early release stages, but promises to be much better! Keep posting...loving your compositions!!
Gregg
Tasmania...really cool, love to visit there someday. Thanks te4o. Gregg, love your stuff from the 35 1.4. Nice work with the 100MP Bob and LZ. I joined your flickr group Bob. Akul love your processing on that 21mm shot. Wheaty, cool BW with the 50.
50MP, tried it with a 20mm extension tube today.
<edit, remove for rework>
Great shots last several pages and lots of new shooters.
After having used a few different ZEs, I finally got one. It is wider than what I usually shoot, but my 35/1.4 and I have quickly become friends. Here are some shots in and around the San Francisco / Santa Cruz areas.
@user222...I like the macro! what extension tube did you use? I'm curious.
@Noodlz79...very contrasty images...my fav is the stairs. I want to walk right up them!
@Grenache...excellent shots. My fav is the last one, of course, of West cliff Dr in Santa Cruz! My wife and kids walk their often. Helluva place to take photos, too!!
Gregg
Great idea Bob! Thanks. I'll post a few of mine to the pool shortly. By the way, other than ND filters you're not using any others (CP, etc.), correct? I remember seeing one of your photos a couple of pages back that really popped with color. I think it was your 35 and similar to the above photo with the reflection. I'll try to find it and quote later.
Bob, Gregg and everyone... incredible, incredible photographs!!! I've run out of adjectives at this point. Seriously, thank you for the inspiration. I was planning to stay in yesterday and this thread got me out in below-freezing temps. Thanks everyone!
Here's a few from yesterday. The Neyland Stadium shot has special meaning as my son (5yrs. old) and I had the opportunity to go into the stadium. His first time and my first with no one inside. Pretty cool.
Photos are linked to flickr which has the camera / description info.

Greggf - Thanks and nice series of images yourself!
BTW - I know some folks here also post to Flickr. I created a new group callled Zeiss (For the love of Zeiss). Reason being is I wanted a group on Flickr where it is easy to share images. No specific labeling required! I found this to be a great hassle on flickr and it's much easier to simply state your lens and body. So, if you're interested, feel free to post here: Zeiss (For the Love of Zeiss)
We can have discussions in this group as well but the idea was to show off our zeiss glass!...Show more →
I'm sure my post above didn't make much sense. I've had this thread open for days and forgot to refresh my browser before posting. This is the quote I was referring to which is now 1 or 2 pages back. I've got to get some rest! To those I missed above ... fantastic photography!
Thank you for the warm "welcome back" ! My admiration to all keen posters and masters of the ZEISS line. I keep learning and studying your work. Thank you all!
