Hmm, on second reading, my comment sounds a bit standoffish. I really like the look, it seems like it has some potential for a strong larger set, should you pursue it.

'Interesting' means something draws one's attention - a comment worth to be shared, so thank you again As for the look of photos, I have played with digital cross processing on pretty much all of my photos from the recent trip, some of which have been shared on previous pages (the look Luka was referring to). Too different in terms of subjects though, thus I decided to split them up to smaller batches.
It's great to see the many walks of photography present in this thread. The over all quality (and I'm not only talking about IQ) is great!
Lieutenant Z - The old man coming down the street is so ... well, what to say, sympathetic. It makes me dream of vacation.
nickson - the first one I like in particular, some would have discarded it due to the man in the foreground covering the man with the umbrella, I find it brings a special feeling to the photo it wouldn't have had without. The editing (cross processing?) I do find a little heavy handed and perhaps unnecessary for that photo. The same editing to a lesser degree would have lent it a more sublime look. But remember, this is only one mans opinion and not to be taken as a objective truth. If you're happy with it, do stick with it.
Mast3rChi3f and dubaiphil - What to say, simply splendid! Sorry can't add more (makes my work seem random and amateurish, which, btw it is).
Anyway, my contributions. We had some sun today. The light in Stockholm this time of the year is very yellow ("Venice of the North" maybe, but the real Venice's light is pink as you who's been there knows), it's bothersome, but perhaps I should learn to use the character to my advantage.
My first post on FM, took me awhile to get the guts to put something in this thread. I really admire the quality of photography displayed here, the knowledge the frequent posters have, and willingness to share opinions. This thread inspired me to get the 100MP and the 35/1.4, which I use in conjunction with my smaller CV 20/40/90 trio on a Nikon D700. I shoot for fun, and mostly while travelling, the remainder being family photos. I still have a lot to learn!
Here's one with the 35/1.4, at or nearly wide-open I believe.

Thanks for the nice comments and warm welcome joakim and Lieutenant Z.
joakim, I really like the composition on the 1st one.
Lieutenant, the 2nd one is great, you captured a great pensive look.
Romain, I like the 1st the best, of course the subject is easiest on the eyes as well.
Here are a couple of Charles Bridge in Prague, first with the 100MP, second with the 35/1.4. Processed with the Nik suite. I'll need some lessons on optimizing my images for the web using Aperture 3, as they look much better at full size in Aperture than when I export to Flickr.
the canon EOS mount is noticeably larger than the nikon F mount, and the nikon version needs an aperture ring as well. Hence the size difference between ZE and ZF lenses in general.
Just catching up on a dozen pages or so it seems...and there are too many awesome pictures.
Love the portrait Matynas..and Lieut Zs street portraits. Dubaiphils mosque shots are very nice.
