akul: Now that's a story there waiting to be told!
rji2goleez: Nice (a)symmetry in that shot
pingflood: Like the soft mood in there
Lieutenant Z: There's a real noir and gritty feel to that car
Philippe, Lieutenant, Bob, eardrumbuzz, alkanphel - Thank you so much. Bob's bicycle's shots from Netherland always made me jealous that they were usually in tact. There are two things happening here in NY. One is the regular theft, then the next is the negligence of the owners whose bicycle got robbed. They don't take responsibility to take it home, or fix it, but just leaving them to rot.
Bob - Very nice symmetry on the window shot. One with a lamp shade, and other with a plant. Interesting lighting too.
pingflood - Tranquil image. I like it.
eardrumbuz - Really nice color and I like the background. #1 definitely.
The 35/1.4 has some nice qualities, but that 35/2.0 is mighty sharp wide open, which makes that bottom shot really sparkle. The Europeans here have a leg up on us yanks, as everywhere you point the lens is like a movie set.
Lt i agree very nice shot of the antique car with your 35/2 could be the opening seen in a mystery movie or something.
Well i finished my first 365 project today and here is my final shot.

It's been awhile since the last time I visited this thread. As usual, great shot everyone!
Year 2011 was a great year for my photography. I purchased my first Zeiss glass. Since then I feel like my shot got better and better. Thank you everyone for introducing me this magnificent optics! And, you should know that my wife really hates you all, lol
Anyway, 1 shot from 21 ZE Star Lounge - Shibuya by reza_arya, on Flickr
Bernd, that is gorgeous. Was only thinking of you yesterday too. My favourite zeiss portrait photographer and the only reason I want a zf85 and it might be this year but a picture like this makes me want to get it today.
Jim, thank you too! We met in the Mamiya thread some time ago, nice to meet you here again. You're doing so great with the ZF100!
Tony, thanks and a big hug to Australia! Ah, come on, you are much too kind. You don't need another short tele, you have become a master of wideangle photography with your ZFs already! I remember that (ZF21) gorgeous guy with the hat (well everybody remembers that picture) and that picture (ZF28) of the men passing the display dummy is one of my absolute favorites. Have been missing you.
Thanks for posting some shots with the 85 oldmiller. For whatever reason, we don't see as many shots with that lens, in this thread. I think this might be the year I pull the trigger, and add it to my bag.

No, not a dummy ...she was a real live Japanese girl, she lives here now (grin) http://oneant.com.au/
Oh my God, shame on me. Give her my regards and tell her, her skin is so perfect, that I couldn't believe she was human.
Great gallery, have seen it already.

Yep, many go ZF100, but that's a different lens. ZF85 is not as easy to handle, but can produce a very special beauty. If it suits your style, go for it.
