Dierk, really excellent, especially the first set! Does this mean the ZM21 f/4.5 is usable on the M9 with the new firmware, or did you fix the left side vignetting by hand? BTW, I can see in the images some signs of banding where the vignetting would be on the left side, which is also something I see with my CV15 images.
Thanks very much, Ron
As far as I know, Zeiss does not recommend the ZM21 f/4.5 for the M9, but I did not know it, when I ordered the lens. I wanted a small and light one.
Here is an example from the Zeiss C-Biogon 21mm f/4.5 in color:
OOC with LR3 defaults
after correction with CornerFix
the profile that i made for CornerFix is not perfect and can be made better!
and here a 1:1 crop shows, what the lens can deliver

Thanks for those samples Dierk. It looks like the M9 with the latest firmware does much more correction than before. I tested the f/4.5 against the 2.8 back in November last year and the vignetting and colour shift was much worse, so decided on the f/2.8 (and I also desired the additional speed for indoor use, which has come in handy). But I agree, the f/4.5 is super small, super sharp and virtually zero distortion. Other than the vignetting, the only thing I didn't like about it was that it was so small, that it was difficult to adjust focus or aperture without disturbing the other ring while wearing gloves, something I wouldn't have noticed during the summer.
I also agree that getting a good cornerfix profile can be hit or miss. I had trouble setting one up for my Voigtlander 15mm, which has very similar vignetting to the ZM21 f/4.5, both before and with the current firmware. Charles over on the Leica thread really likes using Phase One's C1 converter, which has a similar correction capability called LCC, though it means buying, setting up and using yet another RAW converter...
Very nice image Jim!
Here's my Manhattan tourist photo contribution, also done yesterday during a brief visit (I enjoyed the nice sunset while waiting for my delayed flight at EWR):
M9 & ZM35C
They were so into each other they didn't even notice me standing there for 15 seconds
Gary, that first one of the kids really pops! Wow.
melio, very nice, the vignetting in the wide open image really sets a nice mood.
Vincent, nice conversion!

Great candid on the Highline!
It was a pretty awesome sunset over the Hudson the other night. Unfortunately, I missed a section of it while taking a very wide panorama shot. Here's a non-panoramic shot of it that I took with a 100mm ZE:

Ron,
these images where taken last year in April with the old firm ware.
As I convinced myself of buying the 18mm Super Elmar last year, I did not use the C-Biogon any more, I plan to sell it - or wait, how the new NEX-7 will handle the lens ?
Thanks again Dierk. Your results seem better than what I remember getting. I'm curious about the NEX-7 too, though 21mm won't be all that wide any more on it, so I'm curious to see if anyone comes out with a quality lens in the 10-15mm range. I will try my CV15 on it when I have a chance to see one in person.
Thanks Luka and ccho.
Another High Line shot, at the southern terminus at Gansevoort (double posted from the M8/M9 thread):
Sorry to be slow in responding. Eye surgery has sidelined me for awhile. That shot of the ship next to the houses was indeed Stavanger. Norway was fabulous.
