Some shots with my new 35 f2 ZE. I'm loving it so far. Now, I'm thinking of another Zeiss and can't decide which one to buy first. The 50 MP or 100 MP. Help!

Thanks, Lars, Carsten and Jim!
Carsten, that is as much contrast as is possible before the statue becomes totally dark. Obvviously, it would still be possible to boost both contrast and fill light, but then the upper, lighter part of the image becomes too strong IMHO.
Jim, I tried wide open, and it didn't work so well, I thought. It blurred the upper part of the image, and my preference if for the details of the stone alcove to show. But I will go back there anyhow and, if possible, re-do it just for you.

Julian - My vote would be 100 MP. Later on, you can always fill in the gaps. Nice shots. I like the road sign shot very much.
Merci Philippe for idea of the 35/1.4.
When I'll receive my 100MP I think I'm going to sell the 50MP to go to the 35/1.4 but I need to be sure that 35mm is a good focal for me because the big idea is making 90% of my shots with 35/1.4 & 100/2 !
Victor, in my case, my standard bag is now 35 and 85, and 21 and 50 stay at home.... And thanks for the comment.
You too Akul, always complimentary to you fellow members...

I have the same idea, and maybe adding the new 25 as well, for wide angle. I love the 21 but somehow I never use it, and I never really fell in love with the 50MP, although it is a capable lens which has given me many good shots.
Makten, I am going through the thread making up for lost time (and with an eye towards 100mm shots), but this one is particularly noteworthy of yours. I really enjoy this - and would pay for it
And Carsten, unlike some others whose name we won't reveal here I'm not the type of person to 'pimp' my camera by say, oh, I don't know, replacing a red dot with a black one

That is not pimping! Replacing a black dot with a red one would be!
And I have seen your 7D pimped out for filming, so careful where you tread!
Hehe, from wikipedia: The verb "pimping" came up in the early 17th century.[2] In the first years of the 21st century, a new meaning of the word has emerged in the form of a transitive verb pimp, which means "to decorate" or "to gussy up" (compare primp, especially in Scottish usage).
So I'd say any change made to a camera based on aesthetics rather than function would fall into the category of pimping. My 7D in it's film 'dress' is purely functional down to the smallest bolt with nothing added or removed for aesthetic reasons. I've never added or removed or changed anything on any piece of gear to make it 'pretty'.
What on earth made you think of me in relation to a bling lens cap?
I replaced the red dot with a black dot primarily because I felt the red dot was too visible, and I wanted some stealth. I also did like the look of it, admittedly, and I like that it isn't common, but it wasn't my initial motivation. You could accuse me of pimping with my black baseplate though. That wasn't for stealth reasons, just for looks.
