Everybody thanks for your nice welcoming words here. Yesterday I walked around with my camera, inspite of the weather condition, it was raining cats and dogs at times so here are a few of my modest results. Hand held. The first was shot between bars of a gate of an abandoned and closed down graveyard, second one (yes, it was dry for a second) is a shot of a bike tunnel with lots of graffiti and third is, hey.. where have all the statues gone on this forum. I haven't seen a dog statue here before so this is what I shot today,
Lars, nice oof rendering in your third shot
JochenB, nice mood and colour!
formula4speed: thanks for the very nice 28/2 pictures (especially last one). Seems a very sharp lens. Keep them coming :-)
Martynas, your ghost city series is superb, and that tree is just awsome, you seem have to maxed out on the amount of light from behind.
your picuteres make me wonder wheter I should bother posting any more shots of mine...
ZF 85/1.4 two more test shots to find out how close you can use the lens wide open
akul, I like the first one with the moon
dalmas, great morning photos of the church. The first one is my favourite and I definitely like the original format better.
cyra, I like the photo from the lake with the 85 and the 1st one in your 85 set.
Ajay, great photo from Denali National Park
NCAndy, very nice photo of the storm moving in.
Jim, love the photo with the hen.
jochen, the second to last one with the path is very nice
formula4speed, great set with the 28. The middle one is a favourite.
Martynas, what an excellent set!
victor, beautiful rose.
dj dunzie, love the first flower shot.
Martynas, what filter do you use on the 21mm? I just spent a small fortune on 2 B&W 72mm filters (c-pol and nd110) and am not sure what to get for the 21 which is 82mm...
Martynas - Fantastic shots of Yosemite. The exposure on the back-lit oak is spot on !
Philber - The 1.4/35 is indeed a very versatile lens. I shot landscapes extensively with the 1.4/35 on my recent trip to Alaska. Not in the same league as the Distagon 21mm (especially the corners), but did the job rather admirably.
Here are some random shots from AK.
1. Glacial Snout, Matanuska Glacier (100 MP)
2. Mooring. Homer Harbor, AK (1.4/35 ZE)
3. An over anxious fisherman got his fish net in knots.. It was the beginning of the fishing season, and he was a little too "eager". (1.4/35 ZE)
Currently I have the ZE 21/2.8, 35/1.4 and 50/1.4 to go along with my 5D Mk II. I'd like to add the 25/2.8 once they release the redesigned version. Great lenses! I rarely use my Canon L zooms anymore...
Martynas - Wow, that is a gorgeous set. Very inspiring. Love all of them.
James - The wheel infront of red wall is gorgeous
Jochen - B/W tree shot is quite lovely. Color one also is very nice. Great shots with 21 on the most recent set.
Cyra - Lovely set with 85. #1 stood out to me
dj - Wow, great color.
Lars - The transparency of 35 1.4 is just wonderful.
Joakim - Lovely butterfly shot. I like the fern on the corner also in the focus plane.
Uzay - Nice capture of the ocean. My fav is the #2 boat in the middle of frame.
Philber - Yeay, statue ! It feels more like a portrait. Very 'right there' shot. And #3, that is a car ! Great detail on the front grille.
Ajay - Great shot of glacier.
James - Very nice composition and color
Wheaty - strong set of three. It feels like some sort of a journey.
